The Pebbles Academy, situated in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Hermanus, invites dynamic and passionate teachers to apply for the position of Afrikaans Home Language Teacher for Grades 4 to 7.

Position Requirements:

• 2 years Teaching Experience
• Tertiary Qualification in Education
• Experience teaching Afrikaans Home Language in the Intermediate and Senior Phases
• SACE Registered
• Excellent communication skills and a love for language and children
• Energetic, creative, and committed to quality education
• Can contribute positively to the culture and values of the school
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• Fluent written / spoken English and Afrikaans
• Excellent computer, administration and organisational skills

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Planning and presenting engaging, high-quality Afrikaans Home Language lessons.
• Assessment, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Participation in school activities and academic support where needed.
• Promoting a supportive and motivating learning environment.

• Classroom Management
• Administration and Support

The purpose of the Intermediate Phase Teacher is to lay a strong educational foundation that supports the development of key skills and knowledge. The position is also responsible for Initiative implementation and support.

Working hours will be in line with the operating hours of the Pebbles Academy.
