Company Profile
The Pebbles Project Trust has been operating in the Western Cape since 2004 and continues to grow to serve an ever-expanding number of farm worker communities. Our core purpose is to enable access for children and families living and working on farms to quality education programmes and health, nutrition and social services.
Our Vision - Our Vision is a world where every child and young adult reaches his/her/their full potential.
Our Values - Our Values are Compassion, Courage, Commitment and Integrity. If you join our team, you are expected to work in alignment with our values.
Our staff - What started out as a small charity has grown into an organisation employing over 100 staff members, with the Head Office in Stellenbosch and satellite offices in Hermanus, Grabouw, Wellington, Citrusdal and Clanwilliam. The organisation strives to take care of its diverse team of professional staff by creating a fun working environment, valuable perks and market-related salaries.
What makes us different? - Our staff are a dedicated and passionate group of individuals who are committed to the vision, mission and values of the organisation. We work as a team, where each employee is a unique and critical cog in the entire wheel. We all work hard but have a lot of fun together too.
Staff wellness - Pebbles looks after its staff in a variety of ways, including free primary healthcare and dental support at our on-site clinic (Stellenbosch), team-building activities, birthday leave and mental health support and counselling.
Professional Development - At Pebbles, you are encouraged to learn, grow and thrive. A staff training budget allows for professional development and training relevant to your position within the organisation, and you are encouraged to seek out opportunities to increase your knowledge and skills.
What Our People Say
Mineke Toerien
Social Worker
"Working for Pebbles is one of the best decisions I made 15 years ago. The values Compassion, Commitment, Courage and Integrity align with my personal values that I live by. I believe that our slogan – Changing Lives is what we do on a daily basis. Whenever I am asked where I work and I am proud to reply The Pebbles Project. I stand amazed at the positive response I get and that the organistation is known by many for the great upliftment work we (the Pebbles Team) do in farming communities. Pebbles provides flexibility and many opportunities to grow on a personal and professional level. I feel blessed that our beneficiaries allow me into their personal space and trust me as a social worker to journey with them to better their circumstances and lives. Thank you for changing my life."
Vuyelwa Mdala

I enjoy working here and my goal is to promote and bring health services to the farming communities. In conclusion, I am happy to be here and see a long future with the organisation."
Christeline Mushwana
School Enrichment Programme Manager
"Working at Pebbles Project Trust allows me to walk out my passion for education, youth development and leadership development. I am inspired by the daily opportunities to engage with learners, parents, stakeholders and partners that are invested in transforming their world for the better. Being part of the Operations team is like being part of a train’s engine, its purpose is to move the train forward – although some will get on and off at various destinations, the learning journey continues.
